Lemonade Leaders

Jenna and Rebecca Blum

Lemonade Stand Location: New York

Sisters Jenna and Rebecca have hosted the Blum Sisters' Lemonade Stand every Lemonade Days for the past nine years. Their parents always encouraged them to do good deeds and help people who are less fortunate than them, so when Jenna read about Alex’s story at Applebee’s, she wanted to get involved. Now, the sisters partner with their local farmer’s market, squeeze hundreds of lemons to make their homemade lemonade, and raise thousands of dollars for childhood cancer research.

In 2016, they sadly lost their grandfather to brain cancer, and have since dedicated their stand to his memory. He loved volunteering and was so proud of the work Jenna and Rebecca did with their stand. Always an optimist, he believed that when life gives you lemons, make lemonade.

Today, Jenna is a freshman in high school and Rebecca is a freshman in college. Hosting their stand has been a special thing they do as sisters and has taught them a lot of important lessons in the process. They can’t wait to hold their tenth stand this year!

“We are honored to do our part to help advance research and treatment for childhood cancer and working with ALSF all these years has been amazing.” - Jenna Blum, Lemonade Leader
