On December 22nd, 2015 the DiPaolo family was thrown into the world of childhood cancer when they found out 6-week-old Lux was diagnosed with stage 4S neuroblastoma. Pediatric cancer research saved her life, and they have been committed to fundraising on Lemonade Days for more cures ever since.

They promoted their stand at their kids’ school, on social media and with flyers in their neighborhood. Last year they branched out, hosting their stand a local firehouse, where they received more supporters than ever before. Everyone was excited to meet the little girl who beat cancer.

“I love the opportunity to share our story and inspire others to donate,” said Ali, Lux’s mom, “It also gives us a chance to connect with our community.”

Ali’s Tip to Stand Hosts: “I think the best tip is start early. We have raised over 10K in the past 3 years, much of which was donated online prior to the day. Also, keep your stand ID code visible with printed copies to hand out so people can donate online if they don't have cash to donate.”
