Max Foor was diagnosed with leukemia in 2014. His treatments were long and difficult, so he and his brother Zach wanted to raise money for new, better treatments for all kids with cancer. This led to their first stand on Lemonade Days, and every year they’ve tried to make the event bigger than the last!

They have gone from offering lemonade and treats exclusively to incorporating activities like corn hole and spin art. Snow cones have also been added to the menu. Friends stand by the road holding signs to get cars to stop and participate. Even the local fire department has visited to show their support for the fight against childhood cancer.

“We love that our friends and neighbors look forward to our event each year,” said Max.

Max’s Tip to Stand Hosts: “You need to make a lot of lemonade! We like to make it in larger Gatorade coolers and then transfer it into clear pitchers with lots of cut up lemons so it looks refreshing! Make sure you get some change before you get started in case you need to make change for your first few sales. And remember to have fun!”
