State Senator Daylin Leach and his office of District 17 in Pennsylvania were motivated to become involved with Lemonade Days when they heard about Alex Scott and her incredible story. Seeing her as one of their own, they felt it was their duty to support childhood cancer research and constantly move towards finding a cure. They host their stand year after year to honor her fight and remember her journey.

This past year, their lemonade stand took place at the Haverford Township Free Library, and was the most successful it’s ever been thanks to the support of their wonderful community.

“Our office really enjoys hosting the annual Lemonade Days. It is a great time to get out in the community and connect with our constituents while also supporting such an important cause,” said Senator Leach, “We love how we can remember Alex’s story, while also raising money and awareness for pediatric cancer research. All in all, it’s a great day.”

State Senator Daylin Leach‘s Tip to Stand Hosts: “A key feature that made our event so successful was that in the months leading up to our Lemonade Day, we posted about it on Facebook! Our office created a few videos and flyers alerting the people of District 17 of the date, time, and location of the event. Through publishing this information on social media, we reached people that we wouldn’t have if we only handed out a few flyers. If you want to have a popular event, make sure people know about it!”
