United StatesWe lost Kelsie April Grace McKune, my niece, to childhood cancer on November 23, 2007. She was just 14 years old, ready to enter high school and do all the things teenagers are supposed to do. Instead she was diagnosed with Burkitts Lymphoma and died five months later. She will NEVER be forgotten and we will continue to fight to help other children in her memory, because that's what she would want us to do. We miss her tremendously.
Childhood Cancer gets very little funding from the government and many other agencies. That's why organizations such as this, Alex's Lemonade Stand, are so important because they focus 100% on childhood cancer. Alex's story and the story of this organization is amazing, such an inspiration. It is our moral obligation to help our children, to do everything possible to make a difference for them. It could be a child with cancer that is saved that finds the CURE someday.....
Thank you for your support. We are excited about having this event during CHILDHOOD CANCER AWARENESS MONTH! Please donate and/or volunteer or come by the stand and get your gold ribbon to wear to honor our kids during September.
