Please come join us for our 1st annual Lemonade Stand Fundraiser in support of Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation! ALSF’s mission is to "to raise money and awareness of childhood cancer causes, primarily research into new treatments and cures" and "to encourage and empower others, especially children, to get involved and make a difference for children with cancer".(www.alexslemonade.org).

We are especially excited to get Nathan (age 5) and Sam (age 2) involved in raising money for such an important cause and teaching them the importance of helping others. Last year my niece Whitney raised over $ 1,600. She inspired us to have our own lemonade stand this year and join her in the fight against childhood cancer.

For those of you who are not familiar with Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, Alexandra "Alex" Scott (1996 - 2004) was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a rare type of childhood cancer, just before her 1st birthday. She started her own lemonade stand because she wanted to raise money for the treatment and cure of pediatric cancer. Alex raised $2,000 at her first lemonade stand, and to date, the foundation has raised over $60 million toward fulfilling Alex's dream of finding a cure. It is such an inspiring story of a sick girl that wanted to give back, and proves that one person CAN make a difference!

Please come help us fill our cups on June 8th! We would love to see everyone, even if you just drive by for a cup of lemonade. We will be raffling off an Alex and the Amazing Lemonade Stand book, t-shirt and water bottle. Anyone that makes a donation can enter to win. We will also be handing out free stickers, coloring book pages, and tattoos from the foundation for the kids! A bounce house will also provide lots of fun for the kiddos.
