Every third grader at Arroyo has been enjoying the book The Lemonade War, a chapter book about a brother and sister who are competing to raise the most money from their lemonade stand sales.   So, we decided to have a war of our own! 

The boys are running one lemonade stand and the girls are running another.  The war is to see which stand can raise the most money for pediatric cancer!  We wrote persuasive letters to stores and parents for contributions of lemonade, ice, water, and cups.  We're eagerly awaiting to see what gets donated!  We have been studying economic principles like location, underselling, competition, and negotiation.

Come by Arroyo Elementary School, 11112 Coronel Road, Santa Ana, CA 92705 on May 16, 2014 from 5:30-8:00.  There will be food trucks, an open mic, and head shaving  -- all to benefit pediatric cancer!
