Welcome back for our eighth year of holding a lemonade stand for ALSF! For those of you who don't know, my sisters (Julia and Phoebe) and I have hosted a stand every year since my third grade year in honor of a family friend who had a very tough form of leukemia and who unfortunately succumbed shortly after her second birthday. Within the past couple years, her younger brother was diagnosed with another type of leukemia but he's fought through and thanks to revolutionary treatments is much better. Julia, Phoebe, and I, along with many of our friends, hold the lemonade stand every year to raise money for research because it has personally affected us, and because finding a cure is extremely important to us. This year the stand will fall on my 16th birthday and I would like to ask everyone to help pitch in to the effort and make this year even better than last year (we raised over $1800 during last year's effort!).
