In 2007, Grandpa and Grandma Rogers took a trip to the Philadelphia area to see friends that have moved to the area. It turned out that they happened to be there during National Lemonade Days and so they made a short trip to the Alex's elementary school. Grandpa and Grandma were fortunate enough to get to meet Alex's parents--Jay and Liz Scott--learn more about ALSF and see the great work that has been accomplished through Alex. We've put a few pictures of Grandpa and Grandma in our photo album--be sure to check it out!

Our family first became involved with Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation in 2006. After seeing national media stories about Alex, we immediately took an active interest in ALSF because of Alex's inspiring story and mission to raise money for pediatric cancer research. We took their interest a step further at their wedding in June of 2006. Instead of providing favors to each attendee at our wedding reception, we made a donation to ALSF in honor of all of our guests. We also recognized the inspiration that Alex provided to our family as we told our guests about our decision to make the donation, and thus kicked off our family's long-standing support for Alex's Lemonade Stand.

Lucas and Tessa have been hard at work constructing their lemonade stand to raise money for ALSF on May 24, 2014! Be sure to check out the photo album at http://www.alexslemonade.org/mypage/1114248/album to see photos of the progress that has been made over the weekend!
