My friend Emily's five-year old daughter, Meera, lost her battle with brain cancer last week on May 19th. I've been talking with my husband and kids about what we can do to channel our sadness and frustration. We want to bring awareness and funding to help find a cure.  And it occurred to us, with all the kids playing on our street each evening, we should host a lemonade stand at our house to honor Meera.  "Lemonade for Meera", via the nonprofit Alex's Lemonade, is a perfect way to bring our families and friends together to raise awareness for pediatric cancer.  Please join us Sunday, June 1, 2014 at 10543 Tennessee Ave.  Please bring your families and feel free to contribute baked goods or lemonade and participate in our "Lemonade for Meera". Come by for a glass or feel free to hang out and help sell. Make sure to pass this along and tell all of your friends and their friends! All proceeds will go to pediatric cancer research to honor our sweet Meera.
