Last week my class of seven super sweet students learned about Alex from our Social Studies book. After reading her story, we looked up more information on her online, and found this website. When they learned more about her story, and realized that she had done so much with her short life, they enthusiastically asked if they could have a lemonade stand to raise money to fight childhood cancer. How could I refuse?

This Friday, our school will have it's annual yearbook signing. All of the students (K-3, 44 kids in all) will gather on the playground to sign each other's yearbooks. And third grade will be there to quench their thirst with fresh lemonade. We may be few in number, but these kids are capable of amazing things. Their compassion and kindness never cease to amaze me.
