Thank you from the bottom of my heart for joining us this month. I hope you enjoyed it, learned something & spread some awareness in the process. I hope you'll join us again next year!!

Today is the final day of September!! Log those miles team. Those on zero or that need help, please send me your miles and I will manually log them in.

As of 8:02 pm tonight:
Total 2014 The Million Miles:787,640
Team Trevor's Minion Miles has contributed: 1,267.46

Some of you may be wondering what the point is to logging miles & trying to get to a million. It's all about awareness and together spreading awareness. So when you are walking for a purpose, you are more likely to share it.

Case in point, I shared our team at the beginning of the month with someone I know who runs. She never did join our team and truthfully I wondered why. A couple weeks ago she came up to me and thanked me for sharing ALSF and our team page. She had no idea about this huge event.

She took that information to the school where she works and the school planned a walk where each student could pledge a mile. The school is also holding a Lemonade Stand at each of their track meets to raise money for ALSF.

Chills yet? Well this school happens to have 1,000 kids....kids who went home shared with parents & grandparents. Kids who walked wearing gold and logged 895 Miles on Monday!!! So far they have raised $300 and they aren't done yet! AMAZING!

Will send final tally tomorrow :-)

Good Evening Team,

Thought I'd share.... check out what you are helping do: http://www.alexslemonade.org/campaign/2014-alexs-million-mile

Over 106K miles so far! Our team has put 365.38 miles towards that # in 8 days! I just put in another 3 miles (mapmyfitness takes 24 hrs. to update, btw :-) That's an accomplishment for a girl who hasn't exercised all year. Feeling very motivated.

How about you? Have you logged your miles? Maybe tomorrow set a goal to walk or run a couple!

Have a great week everyone!

I wanted to share some resources on how you can log your miles. You basically have 2 options to log miles, both will populate on our TMM page and keep a running total for us. You can manually log your miles or you can use MapMyFitness to automatically update the miles you ran/walked/biked.

So let's get started! To learn how you can Log your miles go to: http://www.alexslemonade.org/campaign/2014-alexs-million-mile/tracking-m...
This page gives detailed instructions on how to track all your miles.

There is also a calendar you can print & use to help you stay motivated & on track: http://www.alexslemonade.org/files/amm_miles.pdf

If you are in the Fredericksburg area, Phil & I and the boys set -up meet times last year for friends to meet downtown and walk together. We will keep you posted on that by sending messages to the team.

Have a great weekend everyone & if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me at: [email protected]

Thank you all again! It's going to be a great month working together!!

Sandra Blake :-)

Happy Friday Team!

We've been at it 5 days and are up to 237.35 miles! Good job team!! (If you need me to manually add in your miles, please feel free to email me)

So much going on this month, more than I've seen in past years, for Childhood Cancer Awareness. As a matter of fact, this week Time Square went gold and many more buildings, including One World Trade Center will be going gold this month!

One of your team members, Zula Corbin, designed a shirt for our team with proceeds going towards our teams goal. Thank you Zula :-) If you are interested in purchasing the $15 t-shirt, please go to: https://www.booster.com/trevorsminionmiles

Thank you everyone for your support of Alex's Lemonade Stand's Million Mile! Let's keep going to help get to a million!!
