On December 6, 2011, at barely 4 years old, Ava was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia . We saw some of our darkest days during the days, weeks, and 2+ years that followed. However, we were awed by the amazing strength and bravery that our daughter possessed. On February 14, 2014 Ava took her last dose of chemotherapy and on May 1, 2014 (two years to the day that she lost her hair) she had her port removed. We are certain that Ava is alive today due to the research conducted by scientists who are supported by funding from foundations like this and donators like you.
