My family and I are hosting " Debbie's Heavenly Lemonade Stand" in honor of my mother-in-law Debbie Kiernan. We lost her to ovarian cancer on April 26, 2013. During everything Debbie went through she was an amazing advocate for anyone fighting cancer, even on her most difficult days. To describe her as an amazingly strong woman would be an understatement!!! Recently, my 4 year old niece, Ciana, has been asking if we can have a "lemonade party". When Alex's Lemonade Stand was mentioned to me by my brother, Mike, we thought what a beautiful way to join the two. My family and I can do something wonderful in Debbie's memory , teach Ciana about doing things to help others and have a "lemonade party" on a larger, more rewarding scale. Our goal as a team is to help raise as much funds as we can to help support pediatric cancer and hopefully make this an annual event we can do in the future! We are hoping not to be stopping at lemonade but adding some more fun things that day to help raise as much money as we can. We are approaching this event as THE SKY'S THE LIMIT!!!!!
