I’m helping Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation raise funds to find a cure for all childhood cancers , including Wilms tumor,  with which Megan was diagnosed (and is currently beating!), and you can too!  Childhood cancer is the leading cause of death by disease of young children in the US, yet it remains vastly underfunded.  Megan was fortunate in that Wilms has been well researched and has a high cure rate, but too many other children aren't as lucky.  

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month.  During this month, as I train for the Chicago Marathon (which I will run on the anniversary of Megan's diagnosis), I will dedicate my miles to all fighters, survivors, and those who have earned their angel wings.
