In the fight against childhood cancer, the International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU) Walk the Coast Committee is hosting our annual fundraising drive for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. We are proud to note that the ILWU received the honor of being an ALSF “Top 100 Fundraiser” in 2012 and 2013. We intend to continue that trend in 2014!
Los Angeles
Because 2014 is a Contract negotiations year, Walk the Coast in Los Angeles is concentrating on our annual Texas Hold ‘em Poker Tournament. Walk the Coast will conduct our 3rd annual tournament on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at the Normandie Casino, 1045 W. Rosecrans Avenue, Gardena, CA, (310) 352-3400. Player check-in will begin at 6 p.m. and cards will be in the air at 7 p.m. Please join us. You don’t need to be an expert. You just need the desire to help this cause. This fun event has raised thousands of dollars for ALSF.
