A few of my friends and I have decided to organize a community and school wide service project and we have picked the Alex's Lemonade Foundation to support. Some of us have been involved with this organization for many years and some of us are new to the project. Either way, childhood cancer has touched all our lives in some way. It is our goal to spread awareness for the continued need for research and successful treatment for the many types of childhood cancers. My friends and I will be holding a Lemonade Stand in our community on August 9th. We also hope to bring this service project into our high school and spread the word and awareness with our peers.
