It is a simple thing to say, "It doesn't effect me, so it isn't my problem," but what if it was your problem? What if was your child? Regardless, we should not harden ourselves to kindness. It doesn't cost a thing to be compassionate. I run for those who cannot. I run to give them a chance to do the same when they're well enough. I run so they have a chance to experience all life has to offer. I run for families like my own because I know there is always a chance that one day, I may need to rely on them for aid.
