Hello friends and family, most of you know that Amy is a pediatric oncology nurse (soon to be a family nurse practitioner).   Children with cancer, and their families, are some of the most inspiring and determined people in this world. What better way to celebrate the joy of our wedding by helping to find a cure? 

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation is a non-profit that raises money for pediatric cancer.  It was started by Alex, a young oncology patient who decided to raise money for other children with cancer by holding a lemonade stand.  She had raised over $1 million before her passing at age 8.  Her family continues to run the foundation today, which has raised millions of dollars for pediatric cancer research.  ALSF does amazing work right here in Philly, and around the country, providing funding for childhood cancer research, as well as resources for patients and families.  We encourage you to look around the ALSF website and read all about the great things they do.
