Because of advancing scientific breakthroughs in cancer treatments due to ongoing clinical research, the cure rate for pediatric cancers has nearly doubled over the last 25 years. But we still have a long way to go. Clinical trials help find new and innovative ways to treat these children without the painful and toxic side effects that have long been associated with traditional cancer treatments.
