Welcome to The Runegades page, where we will be logging our miles and fundraising efforts! What is The Million Mile? In an effort to raise awareness about childhood cancer, participants log miles during the month of September and together go 1 million miles. Why September? September is childhood cancer awareness month! Why 1 million miles? Alex's goal was to raise $1 million, she knew if others chipped in, it could be done...and she was right, Alex raised $1 million before she passed away. Today, ALSF feels the same way about The Million Mile...if we all chip in, we will reach 1 million miles! The Runegades can't be held back, we are up for this challenge and ready to contribute our biking, walking, or running miles to The Million Mile...you read right, biking, walking OR running (despite what our name implies!).
