Jay loves soccer and lacrosse. He loves to run; he ran his first 5k when he was four to benefit a little boy with a chronic disease. His favorite color is purple only because tie-dye isn’t actually a color. He loves Disney, especially Lilo and Stitch, Cars, Winnie the Pooh, and Tinkerbell. Yes, Tinkerbell. He likes pirates and cowboys. He loves Legos. His favorite animal is the cheetah, he also loves penguins. Mamu (his grandmother) is his best friend. His daddy is a fire fighter so he likes to listen to the scanner and hear about the calls. His favorite TV show is COPS. He is a Boy Scout. His favorite word is amazeballs. He loves the Beatles, Grateful Dead, and Journey. He also loves reggae music. He went rock climbing and down a 1,000 foot zip line the day before chemo once. He wants to be a camp director when he grows up, just like his mommy. He loves tattoos. He has wanted the same one since he was three; a purple skull and crossbones. He is the most well-rounded person we know and he is only seven. He has no tolerance for hatred and will stand up for complete strangers if the need help. He has the most gentle soul ever – SPCA commercials make him cry. We have a second cat because, “all animals deserve a forever family”. He has been volunteering with people that have disabilities since he was two. Jay was diagnosed with leukemia on January 17, 2014; he may have cancer but cancer doesn't have him. He loves all the super heroes, but really they should like him because he is strongest freaking person we know.
