Dear Family and Friends -

In January Rose and I will be running the Star Wars 10 K through Disneyland to benefit Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation. This foundation incredibly began by the inspiration and idea of 4-year-old Alexandra "Alex" Scott, who was diagnosed with cancer before her first birthday. Alex wanted to help her friends in the hospital who were suffering from childhood cancer and so started selling lemonade for them at her frontyard stand. Before her death at the age of eight, Alex had raised over 1 million dollars. Over the years Schaner Farms has contributed to "LA loves Alex's Lemonade" in the donation of lemons and lemonade sales from the farmer's market. This year Rose and I would like to do more and will be running with prayerful hearts in honor and memory of all those who suffer from childhood cancer. Please financially support us in this very worthy cause.  We ask that you keep in prayer all the precious children and their families who suffer the cross of childhood cancer. May we in some way lighten their load, and  may a cure be found in the ever-so-near future. Thank-you for your prayers and generosity.
