United StatesMichael Alexander was a an amazing man who loved his family, friends, wrestling, snowboarding, watching movies, listening to rock/punk/ska music, routing for the Yankees or Jets or Devils, and cuddling with his bulldog Zoe. He loved Legos, history, children, and concerts. Michael was a man of integrity, and he cared deeply for those he loved. He was the type of man who you could count on, who had a selfless heart, and who made our lives better. He impacted the lives of all he encountered, and served as a role model for many.
It is so unfortunate that his life was cut short so soon at age 27. He had so much left to live for, so many things he still wanted to accomplish and experience, and there will never be an explanation for why he had to leave us. I will say that Michael's admirable battle against the ugly purple monster that he once drew me to replicate what he envisioned his cancer cells to look like was nothing short of bravery and heroism. That was Michael to turn a cancer cell into a humorous cartoon. Even when the world was ending for him, he was still smiling, still positive, still fighting, and still caring more about everyone else other than himself. When life gave him lemons, he did more than make lemonade. He served that lemonade to everyone he cared about and helped them through.
He is now a guardian angel and a Phoenix. He is all around us every day. Let's join together as Team Michael Alexander 2014 to honor and celebrate his life! He is so loved and missed! xoxo
