Hello! I am running in the New York City Marathon on March 15th, 2015 and I am doing it on  behalf of Alex's Lemonade Stand! Through the course of my work in public relations, I ran in a local Tavern Trot in CT to benefit the organization and had the honor of  meeting some of Alex's family and friends who run the local CT Chapter. This is a dedicated, compassionate, enthusiastic and determined group of people whose mission it is to carry on Alex's legacy and I could not be more proud to run 13.1 miles in my favorite city for this cause! While bravely battling her own cancer, Alex and her family continued to hold yearly lemonade stands in her front yard to benefit childhood cancer research. News spread of the remarkable sick child dedicated to helping other sick children. People from all over the world, moved by her story, held their own lemonade stands and donated the proceeds to Alex and her cause. I hope you will help me reach my fundraising goal of $1200 so that we can continue what Alex started!
