As moms, we can’t imagine anything worse than our kids being afflicted with cancer. As moms of healthy kids (knock on wood), we are joining the fight against childhood cancer so that the kids and families battling this terrible disease know that they are not alone. We were particularly touched by the story of Alex Scott, who bravely fought cancer for four years and left behind a lasting legacy—Alex’s Lemonade Stand. Alex’s Lemonade Stand raises money and awareness of childhood cancer causes, focusing primarily on research into new treatments and cures. We will be racing (ok, participating) in the Tinkerbell Half Marathon on Mother’s Day to raise money for Alex’s Lemonade Stand. Please join us in this endeavor by donating to this wonderful cause.
