February 18th, 2014 life as our family knew changed forever. We became the family that thought "no, it would never happen to us". My beautiful nephew Connor, at the very young age of 23 months was diagnosed with an extremely rare brain cancer called Rhabdomyosarcoma. We had so much hope, believed he would be the one to beat this! 11 months following his diagnosis we received news that you never want to hear, the cancer had returned with vengeance. There was simply nothing left to do. Since that day, we have loved him, giggled with him and created lifelong memories. We have been blessed with 3 years, although short the love we have for him will never dissipate. I have chosen to run the NYC Marathon in his honor. I Chose this charity 1, because Connor was featured as the hero of the week in the fall and 2, its only goal is to raise money for pediatric cancer. Connor has been our superhero since the day he entered this world at 25 weeks. I only hope I can be his for 26 miles on November 1st. Please consider a donation to this amazing charity for children Like Connor and the other 46 children who are told they have cancer everyday.
