Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) emerged from the front yard lemonade stand of cancer patient Alexandra “Alex” Scott (1996-2004). In 2000, 4-year-old Alex announced that she wanted to hold a lemonade stand to raise money to help find a cure for all children with cancer. Since Alex held that first stand, the Foundation bearing her name has evolved into a national fundraising movement, complete with thousands of supporters across the country carrying on her legacy of hope. Read more about Alex here: http://www.alexslemonade.org/about/meet-alex We will be raffling off gift certificates with the purchase of lemonade the day of the event! We rarely have an opportunity to have the type of impact we can have today on cancer. With so many promising drugs coming to clinical trials. The future is bright for future generations that will face this tragedy. They need our support to continue this research. The Lemonade Stand will be in the Heart of Davis Square in Somerville. Right in front of Comicazi. Through Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, of every dollar raised in 2012, at least 90 cents will be spent on research programs in 2013 to find better treatments and ultimately, a cure.
