LOCAL VOLUNTEERS TO HOST ALEX’S LEMONADE STAND TO FIGHT KIDS’ CANCER DURING ALEX’S LEMONADE DAYS

The Span children, 9- year old Ethan, 7-year old Cole and 5-year old Stella will host a lemonade stand to help raise money for their favorite charity, Alex’s Lemonade Stand and to specifically honor their camp and family friend and Cancer warrior, Maya Rigler.

In an effort to join the battle against childhood cancer, The Span Family will host an Alex’s Lemonade Stand during the Alex’s Lemonade Days (June 12-14, 2015) on June 14th at 1709 Waterford Way, Maple Glen, PA 19002 between 11am and 1pm. Cancer has touched this family for many years and now they are directing their efforts to support their friend and hero, 10-year old Cancer fighter Maya Rigler.  The kids want to do their part to help find a cure for Maya and kids like her. 

The Span kids will be selling lemonade and homemade chocolate chip cookies as well as donating some of their own toys, games and books to be sold at a garage sale that day, with all money collected going directly to ALSF.

New this year, 50 families across the country have been selected to represent their states and join Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) in the fight against childhood cancer during Alex’s Lemonade Days (June 12-14). These Hero Family State Representatives, all of whom have been personally impacted by childhood cancer, will share their stories, hold their own lemonade stands, and spread word about the fundraiser and the ALSF mission throughout their communities. 

Founded by Alex Scott (1996-2004) in 2004, Alex’s Lemonade Days is a three-day national event that grew out of Alex's front yard lemonade stand. During Alex’s Lemonade Days, dedicated volunteers host thousands of Alex's Lemonade Stands across the country, raising over $1 million for childhood cancer research. June 2015 will mark the 12th Annual Lemonade Days, and will continue Alex’s mission to raise money one cup of lemonade at a time, renewing her idea that any contributor, at any age, can make a difference. Alex’s Lemonade Days 2015 is set for June 12, 13 and 14!
