Our school district is hosting a summer program through our 21st Century Learner’s Grant, and we are organizing a special event for the entire camp (K-12th) to participate in on July 2nd, and we are seeking some help.
It is important to our teachers and administration that our campers not only have fun experiences, but also experiences that shape and build character. We want our students in the program to have experiences that not only teach them valuable skills to apply in the classroom, but also provide them the opportunity to feel fulfillment through helping others.
Keeping these important ideals in mind, we have registered our summer program to run a lemonade stand in which 100% of the proceeds will go to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. The lemonade stand will be a completely hands-on activity for our campers. They will do everything from creating signs for promotion, to stirring sugar in each glass of lemonade we sell for our fundraiser. Our campers are eager to help children and families affected by pediatric cancer, and our teachers are excited to organize such a meaningful event for our program. We can’t express enough how proud we are of our students who have shown such kindness and interest in preparing for this event.
Any donations would be greatly appreciated, as we are hoping to sell as much lemonade as possible to raise money for childhood cancer patients and families.
Thank you,
Jeannette City School District
