Every year, an estimated 263,000 new cases of cancer affect children under the age of 20 worldwide. That's 720 new kids affected every day. And yet, childhood cancer is vastly and consistently underfunded. Less than 5% of the federal government's total funding for cancer research is dedicated to childhood cancers each year.

Alex’s Lemonade Stand grants have been integral in funding pediatric brain tumor research in the Eberhart, Rodriguez, and Raabe lab where we work daily to find cures for some of pediatrics’ deadliest tumors.
