I am currently in medical school in Heraklion, Greece working in the Pediatrics department of the University Hospital. Because I cannot directly impact the health of children suffering from all diseases, let alone cancer, I am determined to make an impact (no matter how small!) to spreading awareness about the prevalence of these diseases (720 new children affected DAILY - and over 260,000 children affected annually) and ultimately raising money to fund research committed to finding a cure for childhood cancers.
