For my Mitzvah project I will be raising money to help in the fight against cancer. One of my classmates was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer last year.  He is currently going thru treatment and we hope and pray that he can beat this horrible disease.  I want to help fund the research that will someday find a cure for all cancer, especially cancer in children.

Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation is a national organization dedicated to finding better treatments and cures for all childhood cancers and founded on the premise that you are never too young to make a difference.

UPDATED -  I hosted my first lemonade stand fundraising event on Sunday, Feb 2nd at the SunTrust Jazz Brunch in Downtown Fort Lauderdale.  It was an amazing inspiring experience.  Thanks to the generous donors we were able to raise over $200.  I am so glad to be a part of such a great organization and able to help the children and families affected by this terrible disease.  I especially want to thank my Mom, Dad and sister for their support and hard work to help make this event possible.
