Once again, I am participating the the 48hrs or Tristare annual Subaru charity drive. This year the funds raised will be going to helping Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation raise funds to find a cure for all childhood cancers!
The foundation grew our of the efforts of a young girl stricken with Neuroblastoma who wanted to do what she couald to help the efforts of the researches to find a cure.
Alex's story is particulaly special to me as I was also diagnoses at a young age with Neuroblastoma. Though I was one of the few to survive, the treatments left their mark, including diabetes, spinal deformity and the beginning stage of an additional cancer as the result of high doses of radiation.
Please support my efforts! My donation page on Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation website is at http://www.alexslemonade.org/mypage/118174 you can use the link to dinate directly to ALSF. You can also donate $10 by texting LEMONADE 118174 to 85499.
More information about the 48hrs drive can be found at http://48hrs.info
Coverage of a past drive with a picture of my car appeared in an edition of Subaru Drive Performance magazine http://dp.subaru.com/dp91_cover.aspx .
