This is my 3rd year participating in Alex's Million Mile Run - I'm hoping to raise money to fund research for a cure, better treatments, and support services for children with cancer.  I have commited to run 100 miles during the month of September, which averages out to a little more than a 5K... EVERY DAY.  

I was I inspired to take on this challenge by my niece, Morgan Mitchell, who bravely and tirelessly fought a 7 year battle with Ewing's Sarcoma. Despite her chronic pain and fatigue, she always found the time and the energy to make a difference in the lives of others. She exuded a strength, an optimism, and an unwavering faith that continues to inspire me. I am honored to continue to fight, in her memory, for a cause she was so passionate about.

Less than 5% of the federal government's total funding for cancer research is dedicated to childhood cancers.
