The Riverside Marching Units-Cheerleaders, Band and Football Players are hosting Cider for a Cure, an event to raise awareness to support Childhood Cancer on Sept 25th at our next home game against Hanover. We are asking Hanover to also support our event by their families wearing GOLD so the bleachers are a complete GOLDOUT!
Were YOU aware that September is the month dedicated to children suffering from the #1 Killer of our kids, our neighbor's kids, and your child's classmate? The #1 KILLER of children. Children are taking treatments designed for adults; there have been no new advances in over 20 years, the time has come for us to take a stand and demand more be done. Only 4% of the NIH funds are allocated towards research for childhood cancers. 4% IS NOT ENOUGH!
Awareness=Funding=Cures
We are planning a bake sale, coin drop and Cider for a Cure (it's too cold for lemonade now!) with all proceeds raised sent to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation so we can move one step closer to finding a cure for all children with cancer!
You can join me by letting me know if you would like to donate baked goods or a basket for our raffle, or just show your support at our event (WEAR GOLD!), or making a donation right to this page. The money you donate will pay for research to find better treatments and cures for childhood cancer. Please help kids and their families by providing desperately needed hope! Thanks for your support!
