Hello All! Thank you for taking the time to visit our webpage and thanks to all who helped us not only meet but exceed our goal at our very first stand we hosted last year wherein thanks to your generous contributions, we raised over $1,200.00 in under 3 hours! This year, we hope to raise $2,000.00 in honor of the ten year anniversary of the ALSF. Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) emerged from the front yard lemonade stand of a cancer patient Alexandra ("Alex") Scott (1996-2004). In the year 2000, at the age of 4, Alex announced that she wanted to hold a lemonade stand to raise money to help find a cure for all children with cancer. From her front yard she raised $2,000 in one day. Alex bravely fought cancer while remaining committed to raising money for research taking her stand national in 2004 and although she passes away in August of that year, she reaches her goal of $1 million dollars. Since inception ALSF, a registered 501(c)3 charity has raised over $30 million towards fulfilling Alex's dream of finding a cure for childhood cancer. ALSF with the help of thousands of volunteers has become a leader in raising funds and public awareness of childhood cancer and has funded over 80 research projects nationally. Alex's simple concept is such a remarkable reminder of how such a simple idea can make a such a huge difference. Her legacy will live on forever. Please help support our efforts and this critically important cause by making a contribution or stopping by our stand at the Rodney Grille on Thursday July 8, 2010 from 11:00 am-2:00 pm. Lets set a FANTASTIC example for our kids who are so excited to serve and be a part of this rewarding experience. You can also help by passing this message along to others who may be interested in visiting our stand, or holding one of their own! Thank you for your support.
