I am running in the Star Wars the Dark Side half marathon at Disney World as a member of Team Lemon, raising money for childhood cancer research in honor of my brother, Devin Reid. Devin was an avid runner and a four year varsity letter winner for his high school who battled Rhabdomyosarcoma and AML leukemia before passing away at age 20. He enjoyed sports, practical jokes, video games and sci-fi books and movies. This particular race was very fitting as we grew up repeatedly viewing all the Star Wars movies and Devin had hoped to one day attend Comic Con with my husband in full Stormtrooper gear.

During our time at MSKCC and the Ronald McDonald House while Devin was in treatment we met lots of kids like Devin who were battling cancer, smart charismatic and loving kids who were fighting for a chance to grow up. Please consider donating to help children and families like ours.
