Please join us in helping to raise money for Alex's Lemonade stand foundation during this year's 48hrs of Tristate. For those of you unfamiliar with 48hrs of Tristate, it is a yearly event in which a bunch of Subaru enthusiasts get together to raise money for charity.
My dad Ralph and I have been participating in this event for the past several years. it is an event that is near and dear to the both of us. It is hard to find someone nowadays who has not been affected in some way by cancer, or at least knows someone who has been. It is sad that this is now the case, and worst of all is that among those affected by it are children and their families.
This year the charity we are working to raise money for is of course, Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation.
A little history of the foundation...
"Alexandra "Alex" Scott, a young cancer patient, was only 4 years old when she decided to hold a lemonade stand to raise money for "her hospital," so doctors could help other kids like they'd helped her. Alex held her first stand in 2000 and continued to hold lemonade stands each year, inspiring support from her community and across the nation. Although sadly Alex passed away at the age of 8, she knew she had reached the ambitious goal of raising $1 million for childhood cancer research."
We are carrying on Alex's inspiring legacy by raising money to fight childhood cancer. Will you make a donation? As Alex's life showed, our small contributions can make a big impact.
The money you donate will pay for research to find better treatments and cures for childhood cancer. Please help kids and their families by providing desperately needed hope! Every little bit helps, just giving up that one cup of coffee and donating that money can have a big impact on a child and their family. With all of your help we can give these children the hope they deserve and show them they are NOT alone in this fight, we are all here fighting with them to end this horrible disease.
Thanks for your support!
