When
“As an avid runner and competitor my entire life, I now have the excellent opportunity to combine my passion for the sport with helping to raise money towards a cure for childhood cancer. I will be competing in the Walt Disney World Marathon on January 10th while representing Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation. The money I raise will go directly to fund research to find better treatments for childhood cancer. Running the Disney Marathon has been a dream of mine since I was young and realized that I wanted to run a marathon. This will be my 8th marathon and my first Disney Marathon. Not only will I be given the chance to run this magical race, but I will be contributing to a terrific cause in hopes to qualify for the 2016 USA Olympic Trials in Los Angeles California on February 13th. My previous best time for the 26.2-mile distance is 2 hours, 47 minutes. The qualifying time is 2 hours, 45 minutes. With my perseverance and hard work throughout the past year, I am confident this will be a great race! My goal is to raise $2,000. If you or anyone you know are able to donate anything, even a small token amount, to this great cause, your help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your support for the kids so that they may have a greater chance to lead full, quality lives.” –Erica Weitz
