Hello and welcome to the 2016 A&A Lemonade fundraiser page.
Last year, thanks to the generosity of our friends, family and neighbors, we raised nearly $1,200 for childhood cancer research! Amazing, thank you all!
Every year, an estimated 263,000 new cases of cancer affect children under the age of 20. That is 720 new kids affected every day. As we looked further into this, we found that all types of childhood cancer combined, only receive 4% of U.S. federal funding for cancer research. Shocking, right? Our family was directly affected by this epidemic in 1987, when our cousin, Robert Venditelli, lost his battle with childhood cancer.
This year's stand (with permission from Melissa Murray) will be held in memory and honor of Dorian J. Murray, the 8 year old RI boy who captured the hearts of people worldwide, as he battled stage 4 rhabdomyosarcoma.
Please join us in remembering and celebrating Dorian, by showing your support for childhood cancer research. Donations can be made through this page…or better yet, stop by our house on June 11th between 11am and 3pm to enjoy some lemonade. The lemonade is free with a donation of any amount!
Thank you,
Alexandra, Avery, Jenn and Tom
