Join us for our annual Bike-And-Trike-A-Thon on Monday, May 16th (rain date: Monday, May 23rd) beginning at 12:10pm, the children will ride their bike or trike a couple laps around the Beginning Bridges Parking lot. It is not a race, but allows the children to show what safe riders they are. They will ride with their class. Please don’t forget their helmets! This has been a very fun and successful event for the last several years and provides our school community an opportunity to raise funds for a charity each year.
This year we will continue to support Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF), a non-profit organization that raises money and awareness of childhood cancer causes, primarily research into new treatments and cures. Who is Alex? Alexandra “Alex” Scott (1996-2004) had cancer, and at the age of 4, she decided she wanted to hold a lemonade stand to raise money to help other children with cancer. ALSF has raised more than $120M and funded over 550 research projects across North America so far. Please visit their website for more information, http://www.alexslemonade.org.
We recommend flat donations be made instead of per lap pledges. Your donations are tax deductible. Please make checks payable to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation or on this fundraising page. We look forward to this event and your participation!
