Thank you for visiting our team fundraising page for Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation. We are helping move one-step closer to finding a cure for all children with cancer. In 2015, Christian accepted the invitation to be a member of Team Lemon and run the TCS NYC Marathon. Christian's inspiration of completing the 26.2-mile run came from 5-year-old Ari-Anna Jiminez who overcame cancer that year.
The heroic children who battle against cancer every day inspire and remind us about the meaning of courage. Christian continues to find his motivation from their stories and this year is thrilled to share that feeling with his good friend Eleanor Landman as they run the marathon together in 2016. "Nell" is born and raised in NYC and very excited to be running in her first marathon.
This foundation was started by Alexandra "Alex" Scott, a young cancer patient, who was only 4 years old when she decided to hold a lemonade stand to raise money for "her hospital," so doctors could help other kids like they'd helped her. Alex held her first stand in 2000 and continued to hold lemonade stands each year, inspiring support from her community and across the nation. Although sadly Alex passed away at the age of 8, she knew she had reached the ambitious goal of raising $1 million for childhood cancer research.
Nell and Christian are carrying on Alex's inspiring legacy by raising money to fight childhood cancer. Will you make a donation? As Alex's life showed, our small contributions can make a big impact. Thank you!
