Austin Lux and Libby Kern, will be joining forces with their families and friends, to host the Baxter Families 11th Annual Lemonade Stand! Austin was diagnosed at 3 months of age with stage 4 neuroblastoma. Now, at age 10, Austin continues to live cancer-free! Libby was diagnosed at 19 months of age with pilocytic astrocytoma of the optic nerve and received 16 months of weekly chemotherapy. Now 7 years old, Libby has been off treatment for 3.5 years and her tumor remains stable. She and Austin are excited to work together once again to raise awareness and funds to fight childhood cancer!
Every year, an estimated 263,000 new cases of cancer affect children under the age of 20 worldwide. That's 720 new kids affected every day. And yet, childhood cancer is vastly and consistently underfunded. Less than 5% of the federal government's total funding for cancer research is dedicated to childhood cancers each year.
Your donation will go to research seeking lifesaving treatment. The money you give has the potential to make a huge difference for kids just like Austin & Libby.
We look forward to seeing you online and on Saturday, June 18th to raise a glass of icy-cold lemonade together!
Cheers!
