It seems perfectly fitting to celebrate Max being cured by holding an Alex's Lemonade Stand!  The 5 year survival rate for pediatric cancers continue to rise year after year as a result of all the clinical research that has been done.  Funding  by the National Cancer institute is only 4% for ALL of the childhood cancers combined!!  There are 16 major types of pediatric cancer and over 100 subtypes. Obviously this is not enough.  Because of this, we rely more on private funding to fuel our research.  Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation has funded over 550 research projects since the foundation was formed.  It is a foundation that remains close to our heart.

Our son is only cured today because people like you and I donated money to help find the cure in the past.  We feel the need to give back so that every child can be cured and with the lowest side effects and long term health problems from the treatment as possible.  Thank you for continuing to fight with us and all our little heroes who will be diagnosed in the future, currently are battling, and are the survivors who's fight will continue against the long term effects of their treatment.
