When
We need your help in raising awareness and funds for the battle against pediatric cancer by logging miles during the entire month of September and raising donations. The team is open for ANYONE to join. So please sign up now and get ready to log some miles
All you need to do is walk, stroll, saunter, amble, trudge, plod, dawdle, hike, tramp, tromp, slog, stomp, trek, march, stride, sashay, glide, troop, patrol, wander, ramble, tread, prowl, promenade, roam, traipse, mosey, perambulate, run, sprint, race, dart, rush, dash, hasten, hurry, scurry, scamper, bolt, fly, gallop, charge, shoot, hurtle, speed, zoom, jog, trot, scoot, ride, or pedal and give us those miles.
This team honors Tony Salerno III, who is now 12 years old, doing well, and is an ALSF Hero! The insert photo up top on the right is of him from 2005 wearing an semi-original XTIVIA shirt, right before his Neuroblastoma journey started! (Neuroblastoma is the same cancer that Alexandra Scott battled) The insert on the left was one of him during his chemotherapy or stem cell transplant treatments, when all his body's natural defenses were pretty much obliterated. This is for Tony and all the kids just like him, that need:
a cure for childhood cancer,
less damaging treatments (I can show you the still growing list of Tony's side effects and his long list of medications) or
help while undergoing treatment
You never know which dollar is going to make the difference and lead to the next big discovery to help kids with cancer. Maybe the one you donate, or the one you get someone to donate?
It's easy, you know you can do it. You most likely move around, so during the month of September let's get an app in place to keep track.
This only takes your time, it doesn't cost anything to join or log your miles. If you can, please consider helping beyond just keeping track of how much you run, walk or ride by recruiting others to log their miles or inspiring others to make a donation. Maybe your friends will donate based on how many miles you complete? Maybe those folks you can’t get to do a mile for anything will donate instead of exercising with you. Ask them to join the team.
