Each year, The Student Council hosts the Color For A Cause Color Run. This tradition was made in honor of Virtyt Kelmendi, a member of Student Council who passed away from a food allergy attack. To commemerate his vibrant personality and spirit, The Color Run was made to benefit causes significant to the Bergen Tech community.

This year, The Student Council has decided to partner with BT's Lemon Club and support Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation For Childhood Cancer.

Every year, an estimated 250,000 new cases of cancer affect children under the age of 20 worldwide. That's about 700 new kids affected every day. And yet, childhood cancer is vastly and consistently underfunded. Less than 5% of the federal government's total funding for cancer research is dedicated to childhood cancers each year.

The Color Run will take place on Sunday June 4th, from 12:00PM-3:00PM.

Runner's Packages($10) will be sold prior to the event, and include a Runner's Tag, Sunglasses, and a Color Run sticker. T-Shirts ($10) will also be available for preorder, and will be given out at the run. The Color Run is free to attend, and we encourage you to bring your families, friends, and neighbors to come join in the many festivities.
