Hello!
The Nadia Dahmane and Donald O’Rourke laboratories, at the University of Pennsylvania, primarily focus on the characterization and targeting of brain cancers.
Research in the Dahmane lab uses a developmental biology approach to the understanding of brain tumors and in particular includes a project aiming at the development of mouse models of medulloblastoma, a very aggressive pediatric brain tumor. Dr. O’Rourke’s laboratory focuses on developing novel therapeutics for gliomas, including those targeting the EGFR signaling pathway using drugs and immune-based therapies.
We are also joined by Dr. Tim Lynch, Biology Professor at Penn Charter School. Dr. Lynch, a glioblastoma survivor, has also been developing, in collaboration with Dr. Dahmane's group, a project on glioma immune phenotype.
Please join us in helping the Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation raise awareness and funds to support pediatric cancer research.
