Day 4 of my 30 day running streak for Keira is completed! Childhood cancer only receives 4% of research funding. Every day that I run this month will be more than the percentage of funding that these kids get. These kids deserve more than 4!

Keira Stout

Keira was diagnosed on May 15, 2014 with Group lV, stage lV, high risk Embryonal Rhabdomyosarcoma. "Embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma (ERMS) is a malignant soft tissue tumor that is formed from embryonic skeletal muscle tissue, the type of tissue that grows into skeletal muscles." It was first discovered when she lost vision in her Rt eye. Since then she went through 15 months of intense chemo therapy and was considered NED, no evidence of disease, in August 2015. On March 17, 2016 Keira relapsed with Rhabdomyosarcoma, began a trial in May, which failed and is currently about to begin radiation and chemo therapy to try to get rid of the 4 different areas this monster has grown into, her pelvis, spine, lymph nodes in her belly, and her lungs.

Keira is a spunky, outgoing, energetic, loving, kind hearted, smart, funny 9 year old little girl. She has a heart for the Lord and loves telling every person she encounters about Christ's love! She is a fighter and we will continue to pray for her everyday!
