The Tumor Suppressors are excited to participate in their third Alex's Million Miles event to raise awareness for childhood cancers and Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation! If you are already on Strava, join our page at https://www.strava.com/clubs/107801
We are excited to be hosting the first annual Cycling to Cure Childhood Cancer (4C Ride) event in Needham, Massachusetts on Sunday, September 25th! We will meet at Walker Gordon Field at 9AM and bike a 20-mile loop up to five times (participants are encouraged to bike as much or as little as they would like). There will be volunteers at the Walker Gordon Field providing drinks, snacks and moral support. We hope you will join us! Sign up by becoming a member of our Alex's Million Mile team (Tumor Suppressors) and by registering for the event at 4C Ride at EventBrite.com
We are hoping to collect miles as well as donations from friends, family and supporters of childhood cancer research. As a laboratory that is supported by Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, each dollar you donate here is matched by the ALSF and then directly funds the research in our lab! The Sarosiek lab works hard to understand and prevent healthy tissue toxicity from anti-cancer therapies. Although chemotherapy and radiation can cure children of many types of cancers, some children can experience side effects that may impact the rest of their lives. We are developing therapies that will prevent these side effects, helping pediatric cancer survivors live better lives. To read more about our research, visit sarosieklab.org. We hope you will support us!
